At ALC Rabat, we want every student to enjoy a positive and rewarding learning experience. Creating that environment is a shared responsibility. We ask students and parents to respect others, support learning, and follow the expectations that help everyone succeed.
Respecting Others
- Show respect. Treat teachers, classmates, staff and visitors with courtesy. Follow classroom rules established by teachers and the center's published policies.
- Help care for our classrooms. Respect ALC property and help tidy and arrange the classroom at the end of each class.
- Prevent bullying. Bullying is not permitted. Under the current policy, bullying repeated after one warning results in suspension of enrollment without a tuition refund.
- Use phones appropriately. Follow the rules for your age group and classroom. See Use of Mobile Phones and Media in Classrooms.
Being Ready to Learn
- Arrive on time and come prepared with the required coursebooks, a notebook, pen or pencil, and completed homework. See Required Books.
- Participate in class, complete assignments and in-class assessments, and meet deadlines. These activities contribute to final grades and progression. See Final Grades.
- Prepare for and attend scheduled exams. Make-up exams are not automatic: eligibility is reviewed case by case, and passing a make-up exam does not guarantee passing the course. See Make-Up Exams for details, fees and documented exceptions.
- Submit your own work and follow the rules on plagiarism, cheating and the use of AI. See Academic Integrity.
Working Together: Students, Parents & ALC
- Parents are responsible for helping their children meet classroom expectations. ALC teachers and academic staff are responsible for maintaining appropriate behavior and academic standards.
- Please let an academic coordinator know about learning, behavioral or medical needs that may affect a child's participation so we can discuss appropriate support. See Special Needs.
- Parents must collect their children when class ends, including when siblings attend classes at different times and locations.
When Serious Problems Occur
We aim to address concerns constructively and work with families when difficulties arise. However, ALC may suspend or terminate enrollment if serious or ongoing disciplinary problems cannot be resolved. Certain disciplinary actions may be taken without a tuition refund. The applicable conditions are set out in Rules & Policies.
