What is in-class participation?
- Involvement in activities and the effort you make.
- Completion of homework and assignments.
- Contributions toward a positive classroom environment.
- Attendance.
What is in-class assessment?
- Writing assignments, special projects and activities, etc.
- Determined by your instructor.
What score is needed to pass?
- You must have a total score of 65 or higher to pass the course and progress to the next level. Remember that total scores include more than just your final exam.
- Students who fail with a final grade of 55 or higher may be eligible for a make-up exam. Eligibility is reviewed case by case and depends on the student’s participation, in-class assessments, and the teacher’s recommendation. Because the make-up exam replaces only the final exam score, passing it does not guarantee passing the course.
- The standard make-up exam fee is 250 dirhams, with possible exemptions for documented medical, work or educational circumstances. See Make-Up Exams.
