General Code of Conduct: All students and parents are expected to uphold the values of respect, integrity, and responsibility. This includes treating peers, teachers, and staff with kindness, following classroom rules, respecting ALC’s physical facilities, and contributing positively to the learning environment.

Minors: Discipline and Classroom Management: Today's classroom challenges include mobile phone distractions, post-Covid social adaptation, diverse learning needs, and more. Parents accept primary responsibility for the successful integration of their children into a socialized and productive classroom environment. Parents acknowledge the school's authority in upholding behavior and academic standards. ALC reserves the right to terminate enrollment if disciplinary issues cannot be resolved. Parents are asked to inform an academic coordinator ****if they are aware of any special cognitive and medical conditions that might affect their child’s integration into a classroom setting.

Students and parents are expected to observe the following:

• Respect for Teachers: Recognize the teacher as the authority figure in the classroom.
• Respect for Staff: Our capable staff serve over 10,000 visitors to the center every week. Kindly treat them with respect at all times.
• Classroom Behavior: Maintain respectful behavior towards the teachers and other classmates. Bullying of others is not allowed and, if repeated after one warning, will result in suspension of enrollment without refund of tuition. Respect classroom rules as stated by the teacher.
• Honor Published Policies and Procedures: Respect and adhere to established rules and procedures.
• Punctuality: Arrive on time for classes and activities.
• Required Course Books and Materials: Bring all required course books and materials to class: books, pen/pencil, notebook, homework.

Required Coursebooks and Materials

• Homework: Complete assignments on time.
• Canvas LMS: Students in Junior 9, 10, 11, 12, and all Young Adult and Adult levels are enrollment in Canvas LMS. It is each student’s responsibility to ensure they have access to their Canvas account and to contact admin in the event support is needed. More information on Canvas LMS.
• Required Class Assessments: Assessment of students in our Juniors, Young Adults and Adults programs includes assignments that count toward final grades. Failure to complete these assignments will lower your final grade and may prevent you from passing to the next level. These assessment activities are on Canvas LMS in Junior 9, 10, 11, 12, and all Young Adult and Adult levels. More information on Canvas LMS.
• Deadlines: Meet all academic deadlines, including the assessments described above.
