ALC Rabat is proud to be the first educational institution in Morocco to offer Canvas LMS.
Canvas is the world’s largest Learning Management System, used in over 750 leading universities, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, MIT, Oxford and London Business School. ALC Rabat introduced Canvas in 2020.
Canvas is used as a supplementary learning and assessment tool in our adult and young adult programs, and in upper levels of our junior program.
Learning on Canvas addresses all four language skills - reading, speaking, writing and listening - and includes interactive activities carefully linked to and supporting the syllabus of each ALC level. Assessment activities also count toward a learner’s final grade and serve to familiarize learners with the format of our final exams, which are on Canvas.
By using Canvas, ALC Rabat students build strong literacy skills in the use of advanced technology, helping to prepare them for the international marketplace.
Every ALC student in participating programs is offered a Canvas account free of charge - a significant learning benefit available only at ALC Rabat.
In 2023 Canvas was introduced at Al Akhawayn University in Morocco. It is also used as an advanced training tool by international businesses throughout the world.
