Community outreach and accessibility are an important part of ALC Rabat’s mission, and each year we provide scholarships and sponsorships to a limited number of students.  Participants in this program must observe the following guidelines to remain eligible for sponsorship by ALC.

1.  Attendance.  Students must attend at least 70% of classes.  For weekly classes, no more than three absences are allowed; for twice-weekly classes, no more than six absences are allowed.

2.  Class Participation.  Students are expected to participate in classroom activities, including online Kahoot! and Canvas activities, and all mid-course assessment projects.  Class participation is considered in the final grade.  Students are also expected to contribute to a positive classroom environment.

3.  Grades.  Students must receive a final grade of at least 70.

4.  Ongoing Registration.  Scholarship students may take advantage of pre-registration for an upcoming term when registration dates are announced.  However, final enrollment status will be determined when final grades are submitted, and a failing grade may result in cancellation of enrollment.

5.  Make-up Exam.  If a scholarship student misses a final exam, the student must pay the regular 250 dirham make-up exam fee, which helps to cover administrative costs of the exam.  If the student presents written evidence (example - an attestation) of a medical, educational, or professional conflict on the scheduled date(s) of the exam, the fee may be waived.

Individual scholarships are reviewed each term, and the scholarship program is reviewed periodically and adjusted to align with the center’s overall financial performance.  The center makes every effort to continue generous scholarships, but cannot guarantee their continuation beyond the current term.  Students who do not uphold the above conditions may be removed from the scholarship program.

6.  Required Course Books and Workbooks.  Scholarship students are entitled to a free course book and workbook.

7. Cancellation / Postponement of Enrollment. Sponsored students may cancel or postpone their enrollment before the official start date of the session. However, once the session has officially started, no cancellations or postponements are permitted, and the sponsorship will be terminated.
